Three days later, on April 19, 1943, Dr. Albert Hofmann intentionally
ingested 250 micrograms of LSD.
This day is now known as "Bicycle Day", because he began to feel
the effects of a drug as he rode home on a bike.
This was the first intentional LSD trip.
An event that was held at the Scottish Rite Temple in Los Angeles, California
on October 2, 1988 ~ to honor Dr. Albert Hofmann on the
50th anniversary of consciousness research.
The master of ceremonies that night was Terence McKenna.
Terence McKenna introduces Albert Hofmann by famously saying,
"Psychology without psychedelics is pissing into the wind."
Terence McKenna also said that night (10/02/1988)
"We have the tools, the intellect, the will to create a caring global culture.
It isn't going to come without a recognition of the power of the psychedelic
experience. The psychedelic experience is the birthright of every human being
on the planet. It is as much a basic part of each and every one of us as our
sexuality, our national identity, our consciousness of self. And any society which
attempts to hold back or impede this dimension of self-expression, when the
history of that society is written, it will be called barbarous."
F.Y.I.: I (FxCYBER) was there, {best seat in the temple/building, if I do say so myself}
located in the center with the speaker's lectern in front of me,
aisle seat, second row, with Dr. Albert Hoffman and others seated in front of me.
{ *Guess of the attendance, 300 - 500 }
Later Dr. Hofman and I sat down side by side and we talked, laughed and more.

Consciousness
While walking on the Moon, Edgar Mitchell stared at the Earth
floating in the vastness of space and felt an overwhelming sense of connectedness.
This feeling, along with his dedication to exploration,
led him to investigate the scientific understanding of consciousness.

Speak Up! - Do Something! - Be Concerned!
Do something so that the following does not happen.
First they came for the unapproved religious books, and I didn't speak up because I was not concerned.
Then they came for the unapproved Religious, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't an unapproved Religious. Then they came for the Socialists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Socialist. Then they came for the Unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Unionist. Then they came for the Homeless, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't Homeless. Then they came for me - and no one spoke up because by that time there was no one left concerned about me. |
